Design Challenge: Client wanted their updated bathroom to feel like a luxury hotel bathroom and they did not have a luxury budget. Three items were a must – add a steam shower, in floor heating and a second sink. Solution: To offer savings, we kept the tub but replaced the fixtures and added a hand shower.

Design Challenge: Adding a steam shower can be expensive and the client wanted to add a shower bench. Solution: Not changing the size of the shower offered additional savings because we were able to reuse the glass door and wall. The only glass we added was above the glass walls and for the top. We used a steam unit that fits between the studs. The riser of the bench was recessed back to offer more shower basin foot space.

Design Challenge: The client wanted a second sink and did not want to sacrifice the storage she would lose to fit the sink. Solution: I added drawer storage and wall cabinets to provide the storage that they needed. An open shelf below, for towels, gives that luxury hotel bathroom feel. We used 24 x 24 marble tile for the counter top to offer additional savings and dressed up the counter edge with mosaic tile.
